News of Version 04/01/2012
- Free access to the publication “Determination of Reference Values for NIST SRM 610–617 Glasses Following ISO Guidelines”, Jochum et al. 2011.
- Fast data input:
If you want to make sure that your results will be included in the next application
version of the GeoReM database send your published data directly to the GeoReM team.
Please provide your results as an Excel-file in the following form to georem.database@mpic.de
In addition we need the corresponding paper as an pdf-file.
The data have to contain the analytical method, unit (only µg/g or µg/l for trace elements; %m/m for oxides)
and the type of the uncertainty (for example standard deviation, relative standard deviation or 95% confidence level)
Different tables are necessary for different analytical methods and various institutions.

News of Version 02/01/2009
- Bibliographic lists now contain item surveys, which give
an overview about the analyzed reference materials and the determined items
(for papers published since 2006).
News of Version 09/01/2008
-
Samples can now be selected using 4 new categories (geological,
biological, environmental, microanalytical). For each category you
can also select a provider (e.g. biological NIST, microanalytical USGS
reference materials).
- New GeoReM publication: K.P. Jochum
and U. Nohl (2008),Reference materials in geochemistry and
environmental research and the GeoReM database,
Chemical Geology 253, 50-53
- New GeoReM preferred values for OU-6
and BRP-1.
News of Version 02/01/2008
-
GeoReM now contains a discussion page. Users can ask questions, write
answers, give comments etc. Please log in for registration.

interest, The Geoanalyst, 8, 4.
News of Version 07/01/2007
-
GeoReM contains 2.100 papers, about 70% of recent publications (2000 -
2007).
- More data of biological reference materials are
available.
News of Version 03/01/2007
-
current and former versions can be selected. The current version has much
larger datasets than the old versions
- GeoReM preferred values of further reference
materials.
- Team: People involved in the development of
GeoReM.
News of Version 12/01/2006
-
This version of the software contains "GeoReM preferred values" (GPV)
for some of the TOP 50 samples, as evaluated by us. Values for other
samples will follow soon. Our
criteria for the GPV are primarily certified data, as well as data from
high precision and definitive methods,
such as ID-TIMS. The GPV can be obtained by the query "Samples (GeoReM
preferred Values)" for samples,
where preferred values are now available, or "Samples and Materials
(published Values)" with possible links
to "GeoReM preferred Values".
- Top 50 most frequently requested reference
materials can be listed.
- Top 10 most clicked reference publications can
be listed.
- "Query by Chemistry": isotopes and isotope
ratios are in one common list ordered by mass number.
News of Version 07/02/2006
-
Selection of reference materials by provider is now possible.
- Mostly selected samples (Top 30) can be listed.
- Data of GeoReM and GEOROC databases are linked
via citation-ID.
News of Version 02/01/2006
-
Query by methods and Institutions is possible.
- Enhanced uncertainty information.
- Addresses of institutions.
